Soon, Google Assistant’s responsibilities will be assumed by Gemini, especially when it comes to app connections with well-known services like WhatsApp, Spotify, and Google Messages.
The function of Google Assistant in these apps will be replaced by the future Gemini Extensions, which will provide a more advanced and easy-to-use interface. For example, Gemini will handle tasks independently of Google Assistant when you ask your Android device to send a message via WhatsApp or play a song on Spotify. The goal of these enhancements is to make conversations more efficient by enabling users to speak more naturally and casually and to avoid asking for clarifications as frequently. Gemini’s capacity to gradually pick up on user preferences is one of the main improvements.
